A business dinner that turns into a date, that turns into a car chase, that turns into an assassination attempt, makes for quite an exciting night out on the (Little Tokyo) town, when Bruce Wayne and Dr. Annika Zeller get to know each other better than expected.

This fast-paced issue is an extremely quick read, which makes it very important to take the time to savor and enjoy each panel, exquisitely crafted by Jiménez and Morey for maximum enjoyment.
The first villain of 2026 makes her debut in these pages. The Ōjō, or Lady Death Man -who may or may not be connected to Lord Death Man- makes a splashy debut with some impressive abilities, flashy weaponry, and the looks to match. She conveys in the second half of the issue the same sense of speed and haste that the car chase offers in the first half.

Ōjō, The Lady Death Man by Jorge Jiménez and Tomeu Morey
For a Batman-less issue, "Date Night" is actually an entertaining experience, and a good transition point for the next act of the overarching story. But remember, you must stop to take in each page, rather than rush through it. Bruce and Annika are the ones being chased, not you.
VERDICT: An adrenaline-fueled installment with nice action sequences.
