Character Spotlight: Kyle Rayner

Starting in March 2026, fan-favorite Kyle Rayner will be once again Earth's titular Green Lantern. As Hal Jordan embarks on a mysterious mission that will test him to the limits, Kyle returns to Earth, and reclaims the mantle he held from 1994 to 2004. It all happens in "Green Lantern" #33, which also happens to be milestone legacy issue #600. Green Lantern Kyle Rayner Artwork by David Nakayama To commemorate this change in direction, the character will also sport a new look designed by artist David Nakayama, that reminisces his original suit from 1994, streamlining some of its most recognizable elements, and simplifying the awkward "crab mask." Regarding the new uniform, the acclaimed artist said in his Bluesky feed: "NEW! GREEN LANTERN 600 promotes KYLE RAYNER up to leading man status(!) w/ a streamlined new uniform designed by me!šŸ”„šŸ’š Kyle was my GL growing up, so yeah, a big deal to me. His new look is a clean-line take on the iconic original, and he’s...

Review: World's Finest #46

Lex Luthor and Joker have merged into a nefarious all-knowing entity, thanks to the Absorbascon they stole from Hawkman in the previous chapter. Now, the World's Finest team has to meet this challenge by responding in kind, and recruiting the help of Green Lantern, brings back the fan-favorite Superman-Batman composite form from the early days of this series. World's Finest #46 "The Merger" - Chapter II Cover by Dan Mora (December, 2025) Pencils:  AdriĆ”n GutiĆ©rrez Inks:  AdriĆ”n GutiĆ©rrez, Vicente Cifuentes Colors:  Tamra Bonvillain Lettering:  Steve Wands Writer:  Mark Waid The distinctive trait of this title is its loose connection to DC's current continuity, and that is what makes it so enjoyable. The back-and-forth between Superman and Batman in their fused form is well executed as a reflection of how well the two characters know each other. Conversely, the dialog between Luthor and Joker seems to drag on, and unlike their interaction from the previous issue,...
