Reborn from the ashes after the events of "Civil Corps," the Green Lantern Corps made their splashy return in 2025 with a new title of the same name, written by Morgan Hampton and Jeremy Adams, and featuring artwork by renown artists Fernando Pasarín, Amancay Nahuelpan, and V. Ken Marion.

The Green Lantern Corps
Artwork by Fernando Pasarín, Oclair Albert, Arif Prianto
While the main Green Lantern series focuses on Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner, the Corps book puts the spotlight on the other emerald crusaders, namely John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Sojourner Mullein, Sinestro, Teen Lantern Keli Quintela, and lantern construct Ellie Stewart.
With a roll call like that, one would think that Hampton and Adams already had their hands full trying to juggle such a large cast, but their stories have been so well structured that they even had room for other supporting characters like Hawkwoman, Kilowog, Razer, Mogo, Aya, Space Cabbie, Atrocitus and his Red Lanterns, and a horde of Corps rookies. Despite the overwhelming ensemble, none of the installments in this series has felt overcrowded; everyone gets their turn to shine, not only plot-wise, but also visually.

Speaking of visuals, the herculean task of illustrating such a massive roster has been bravely taken by Fernando Pasarín and Oclair Albert, whose crisp and dynamic lines have had previous experience bringing the ring-bearers to life. Rounding up the artwork department during this first year for the title, are the talented Amancay Nahuelpan and V. Ken Marion, who also bring energy and vibrancy to the stories with their top-class styles. Anchoring the rotating pencillers, is color artist Arif Prianto, who -justifiably- must be seeing green by now.

2025 was a busy year for the Green Lantern Corps, with the "Fractured Spectrum" and "Starbreaker Supremacy" storylines, the destruction of Thanagar, and the return of the emotional entities, Krona, Katma Tui, and a second John Stewart. If you haven't yet, it is time to get aboard this bullet train... it is one of the best rides of the year!
OVERALL SERIES RATING: 8.0
